During the STEM Discovery Week 2018, IES Santa Rosa de Lima celebrated various exciting activities in order to inspire the curiosity of our students in STEM. Students and teachers took part in a Escape room which was organized by the school´s maths teachers. The famous scientific researcher Rosalind Franklin was the main character of the game. She asked the students to help stop Watson and Crick from using the first DNA image for their scientific publications without her permission. She hid clues, such as messages with coordinates, hieroglyphs and a system of equations. The cooperation between students was the key to completing the mission before the time was up (50 minutes). The creativity and the excitement of the activity engages the students and motivated them to continue learning and helps stimulate their interest in studying STEM.
